1927 is a multi-use, newly rennovated art deco space and gallery in the heart of Athens, in the neighborhood of Kypseli, one of the city’s most multicultural neighborhoods. It is located on the first floor of a 3-storey building. It is organized in a central space and three separate rooms, a bathroom and small, fully equipped kitchen. It has ample wall space and flooring is partially wood and partially mosaic. All rooms are equipped with moveable led spotlights, independently operating speakers in each room, work space with desk and seats and moveable sofa-beds for hosting guests. Audience capacity varies on how space is used but it is up to 25 people seated.
The space is available for rental for site-specific performances, book presentations, lectures, workshops, rehearsals, visual art exhibitions and private events.
